world environment day: ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION, 🌱🌴🌿

World  environment day is celebrated in our college.The program is inagurated by our principal  Roy sir by planting a tree in our college premises. The chief guest is Dr lekha pillai.  The ma'am make aware about the importance of today.. Then There are so many cultural programmes of all departments...including M. Ed's. a nice  experience for us... 😍 Due to the situation the program will be in online mode bt also the we conduct our program  in a good manner.. Malayalam dept program was a variety from their brochure in the form of 📢 announcements and to their presentation in the form news section. I liked the most is their program😍.. Almost all departments held programmes....

We physical science departments conduct intercollegiate competitions.. And voice contest competition for our college. We get almost 200 responses for caption 😍writing competition from various colleges.

The programmes of other dept includes letter writing.,blog creation, products from waste materials , 📸 photography and so.. On... I also participated in programz. 

The brochures  for competition  held by our dept .. The brochure creation was difficult. The  content. Pic aptness.. Our Maya miss guides us a lot 😊

  The theme of world environment day 2021 is. Ecosystem restoration  ecosystem can be restored By planting trees, greening cities, cleaning up riversand coasts. This is the generation that  to make peace with nature.

For too long, we have been exploiting and destroying our planet’s ecosystems. Every three seconds, the world loses enough forest to cover a football pitch and over the last century we have& destroyed half of our& wetlands. As much as 50 per cent of our coral reefs have already been lost and up to 90 per cent of coral reefs could be lost by 2050, even if global warming is limited to an increase of 1.5°C.

Ecosystem loss is depriving the world of carbon sinks, like forests and peatlands, at a time humanity can least afford it. Global greenhouse gas emissions have grown for three consecutive years and the planet is one pace for potentially catastrophic climate change.

The emergence of COVID-19 has also shown just how disastrous the consequences of ecosystem loss can be. By shrinking the area of natural habitat for animals, we have created ideal conditions for pathogens – including coronaviruses – to spread.

With this big and challenging picture, the World Environment Day is focus in the ecosystem restoration and its theme is “Reimagine. Recreate.Restore.”

Ecosystem restoration means preventing, halting and reversing this damage – to go from exploiting nature to healing it. This World Environment Day will kick off the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), a global mission to revive billions of hectares, from forests to farmlands, from the top of mountains to the depth of the sea.

Only with healthy ecosystems can we enhance people’s livelihoods, counteract climate change and stop the collapse of biodiversity.

As a part of world environment day... Planting a tree... 🌱.. Due to human actions they are looting the earth resources... It is our duty to protect these.. And reconstruct our ecosystem.... 😍  The day raises awareness about the environmental issues that our planet earth is facing.. Its important to care for the environment we live in not only for our health Bt also for our survival tooo..... 

This old collects the plastics on the vembanadu lake..  We the human drinks water  and threw  the  bottles in the lake... Plastic carry bags and... So... On... This old man removes all the obstacles... And.. Clean the lake as.. Before it was......one of the most important thing Related to envirimnet day is...his action... Such a old guy can do it... Then why can't us.....???????
